Dino Discovery

The dinosaurs have stomped into Midsummer Place for the summer, bringing a host of dino-discovery activities for the whole family to enjoy. From roaring dinosaur displays, to an engaging fossil trail and much, much more.

Here's a quick glimpse:

• Dinosaur displays -Take a prehistoric stroll through the mall and come face-to-face with roaring dinosaurs.

• The Great Dino Discovery and Fossil Trail - Follow the trail, uncover ancient fossils, and see if you can spot the longest dinosaur on your journey.

• Dino competition - There’s a secret code hidden throughout the exhibition. Can you crack it? Solve the puzzle and you could win some amazing prizes!

• Dino rides - Little ones will love these ride on dinos. Find them in the boulevard daily throughout the school summer holidays. Ask at the attraction for prices.

• Prehistoric Explorers - Join the team at Milton Keynes Museum every Thursday in August from 2pm to 3pm, to learn about Iggy, Milton Keynes' very own Ichthyosaur and get creative. Booking is essential. Find out about the weekly activities and book here

• Prehistoric parties - Young ones are invited to help Ranger Chris excavate some fossils and bones from our prehistoric pit. Plus there will be music, fun, and games for all. No booking needed just join in and get ready to ROOAARRR! Suitable for children 3 to 10 years. Sessions start at 11am and 2pm on Tuesday 5th August, Tuesday 12th August, Tuesday 19th August and Monday 25th August, Find us at the bandstand in the Boulevard.

• Dino themed music sessions with Ragdolly Annas will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Friday 8th, Wednesday 20th, and Tuesday 26th August. Suitable for 0-5years, this fun-filled interactive session is packed full of music, movement and bubbles to keep everyone entertained from start to finish. With dino-themed action songs and games, children will be stomping, roaring, and laughing throughout!

• Dynamic dino story telling sessions are designed for 1 to 8 year olds, although if you love a story you're welcome to listen along! Taking place between 12pm and 4pm on Saturday 16th August and Friday 29th August will last approx. 45mins each and run four times each day.  Get ready to stomp, roar, and travel back in time! Join Amy from Ragdolly Anna's for an interactive dinosaur themed story session where children become part of the adventure. From swishing tails to dino footprints, this is story time where everyone joins in. No sitting still required!

• Interactive family dino disco with balloon modelling will be taking place from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday 23rd August by the bandstand in the Boulevard. This fun-filled, high energy Dino disco will be packed with interactive party dances, lively music and exciting games! Families can enjoy a mix of classic party hits action songs and group challenges. This session is a great way for families to spend quality time together.
