Midsummer Place is excited to announce the construction of a brand-new Bandstand in the Boulevard, creating the perfect stage for performers to dazzle a live audience in a prime location!

Horizon Radio will record individual performances from the Bandstand to be broadcast live on air! The recording will be used for future broadcast, including on Horizon Radio's Local Music Show where artists are invited into the studio for an interview and live performance!

To be eligible to perform at Midsummer place, acts must be suitable for a family-friendly audience. If your performance doesn't meet the family-friendly criteria, you still have the opportunity to be featured on Horizon Radio, given your performance meets radio requirements. We recognise that paperwork can very time consuming, so we are committed to making this process as efficient as possible!

The idea is the majority of the paperwork we'll need from you to participate in Boulevard Unplugged will be completed at the point of registration, making individual bookings fast and straightforward. Once the paperwork is done once, you won't need to do it again! You can then pick and choose, out of the dates available, when you would like to come in and perform!

The registration process works like this:

Step One

• Complete the application form, telling us a bit about you and your act. The application form can be found here.
• The Midsummer Place Marketing Team will be in touch with you by email or telephone within two working days. If you application is successful, they will guide you through step two.

Step Two

• The marketing team will help set you up on our portal. This will involve uploading your public liability insurance, a risk assessment, method statement and any other documentation that might be relevant to your act. Please don't worry, the team will explain everything fully.
• Once everything is ready, your profile on our portal will be submitted to our compliance team.
• When you receive approval by our compliance team, your registration to Boulevard Unplugged will be complete!

Moving forward to manage your network membership, all you need to do is update your PLI on our portal when it expires. Or, if your act changes in terms of the equipment you will be bringing into the centre, we may require some changes to your other documents.
