Recycle Your Shoes & Get £5 Off at Schuh
Our giant caterpillar needs shoes for all of its feet and we need your help to make it happen.
This February half term, we’re teaming up with Schuh to give your old, outgrown shoes a second life, while helping us build a caterpillar installation right here at Midsummer Place.
Simply donate your pre-loved shoes and watch them become part of a larger-than-life display.

How It Works
Donate your old shoes
Have a clear-out at home and bring along any unwanted or outgrown pairs, adult and children’s shoes are both welcome.
Drop them off at Schuh
Head to the Schuh store at Midsummer Place between 14th–20th February and hand in your shoes. For every pair donated, you’ll receive a £5 Schuh voucher to spend in store.
See the caterpillar come to life
On 20th February, we’ll be showcasing all the shoes collected and using them to create our giant caterpillar at the Bandstand on the Boulevard.
Where Do the Shoes Go?
After the 20th, all donated pair will be passed on to GotSneakers, giving them a second life and helping reduce waste long after the event ends.
Please note:
- Customers handing in a pair of unwanted shoes, will receive a £5 voucher for each pair donated.
- Shoes do not need to be from Schuh, but must be wearable and in a suitable condition for donation.
- Shoes will be checked in store to ensure they are appropriate for reuse or recycling.
- Vouchers can only be redeemed against full-price items over £25.
- Vouchers cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
- One voucher can be used per transaction.
