What do you get for the kids for Christmas?!

7

This is a question we ask ourselves time and time again and every year there are tons of new toys on the scene to make our decisions even harder.

I have searched Midsummer Place to bring you my best recommendations and ideas if you're stuck this holiday season.

LEGO®:

Now LEGO is always a fab place to start but with all the big sets that can be pricey it can get overwhelming and expensive. These smaller Sets can be a perfect addition for kids and they can be enjoyed at a range of ages too. The size of these sets makes them perfect for a quick build whilst the turkey is cooking on Christmas day.

Crafty Gifts:

In my book these are always a winner and Waterstones has plenty of options. From mug painting to cardboard animal models and finger painting there's something for everyone. If you are worried about the mess they'll make, buy them for your niece or nephew instead and the mess won't be left for you (hehe).

Foodie Gift:

I am aiming slightly older with the target audience here but I spotted these bottled ingredient jars for quick and easy baking and I think they're perfect for a teen!

Either that or a wonderful sharing present for your littles to bake with you. Whether you wrap these up and put them under the tree or buy them to bake over the festive season, these are a winner, and likely delicious too! You can find these tasty treats in New Look.

Something Cosy:

Keeping the teens in mind there are lots of cosy choices and New look is the place to go!

Starting with the classic fluffy socks why not add these heatless curlers and a hot water bottle for a self-love mini hamper. These fluffy teddies have a microwavable insert that makes them the ultimate comfort for the cold evenings watching Elf in front of the Christmas tree.

Football:

This one seems a little obvious, but we all know a kid who talks about nothing else. Sports Direct has some brilliant options that aren't just footballs and Kits. Calendars, water bottles, pencil cases and mugs all with your favourite premier league team badges, players and colours.

Books:

Books can be found for any audience but these are a personal favourite of mine and I HAD to share them. The Little people big dreams series of books that focus on influential people from all walks of life, Elton John, Rosa Parks and Steve Irwin are just some of the ones we already own and read frequently. If you're a sports fan, pick up the Lionel Messi, a music lover, choose Taylor Swift and for all the lovers of science, why noy Charles Darwin or Marie Curie. There really is something for everyone. They’re affordable with wonderful illustrations and with so many to collect they are the gift that keeps on giving. Pick one up this year and something else next Christmas. These books are my personal highlight of the gift guide for sure!
