Young warthogs are known as piglets, and families usually stay close together while searching for food and avoiding predators.

Warthogs live across grasslands, savannahs and open woodland throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

They are highly adaptable animals, capable of surviving in hot, dry environments where many other animals would struggle.
