Families Go Wild for Safari in the City at Midsummer Place
Midsummer Place’s summer Safari in the City has got off to a roaring start, with families heading into Milton Keynes to enjoy the free wildlife-inspired experience.
The campaign was officially launched on Saturday 1 August with Safari Live, where visitors came face-to-face with life-size orangutan and panda characters, enjoyed free face painting, and took part in special wildlife-themed workshops delivered by Woburn Safari Park, alongside plenty more safari-inspired fun. The launch proved hugely popular with families, with children getting involved in the activities, meeting the characters and exploring the giant grass animals located throughout Midsummer Place.
The free family trail, running throughout the summer holidays until 30 August, has already attracted strong visitor numbers and positive feedback from families enjoying the opportunity to combine a day of shopping with a fun activity for children.
Created in partnership with Woburn Safari Park, the experience encourages families to explore Midsummer Place, discover the animals and enjoy a little taste of the safari in the heart of Milton Keynes.
Visitors can also enter a competition to win one of five family tickets to Woburn Safari Park, extending the adventure beyond Midsummer Place.
Safari in the City is also being supported by a programme of free family entertainment throughout the summer, including children’s disco parties with Ragdolly Anna and creative craft workshops.
