AUTUMN ESSENTIALS AT MIDSUMMER PLACE

Let's begin with the perfect cosy day in. Picture this, it's raining outside. You're watching Hocus Pocus and you've just pulled a blanket out of your new basket to snuggle up on the sofa. Søstrene Grene has the most gorgeous homeware so you can get your house ready for the season. If it's a cute vase, candles to light on a chilly night or the perfect blanket basket they've got it all!

If you are already popping in, you have to look at the craft section. You will find enough crafts for a family activity, a night in with the girls or maybe you're already a crochet wiz and are planning a new cardigan. I think Søstrene Grene will have inspiration for everyone. I even saw a few cheeky Christmas bits peeking in!

Don't forget to check the baking / kitchen section of the shop too because does anything sound better than a hot cuppa and a freshly baked cake on any day of the year, nevermind what season!

Next we are heading to New Look for the perfect accessories. The perfect big scarves you can really wrap up in and boots that will be practical for the school run but look smart and chic when you head into the office. I absolutely love a high leg brown boot and cream scarf combo. It screams autumn, it's easy to wear and pieces you can bring out every autumn too! Boots are such a key part of any autumn winter and I love New Look's options but if you want to really treat yourself and spend a bit more don't forget to look in Dr. Martens. They have such pretty boots. They will last you years and with more styles than you would expect its absolutely worth a look for a long term investment piece.

I know what you're thinking, what else could I possibly need! Don’t worry, I’ve got you. We are going to Hollister for jeans. When I tell you these wide-leg brown jeans have been on my wishlist for weeks?! Genuinely, they've got all the colours and styles you could ask for. Not to mention you could actually wear these all year round, so if we are doing the girl math, I'd say we’ve made a fantastic purchase.

I also love Hollister loungewear and PJs, so if you wanna be comfy when you're having your crafty night in, I think I’ve just made the perfect plans for you.

Now onto, maybe the most essential of all, the coats and jackets. Superdry has so many styles! Puffers in so many colours. Leather jackets that would be the perfect additional layer in that weird in-between temperature no one knows how to dress for. Oh and let’s not forget the lush knits. I think I might head back to pick up a jumper for those days you’re in the office, but meeting a friend for lunch so want to look cute.

I just LOVE this season so much, and a cheeky shopping trip drinking an autumnal coffee.
