Milton Keynes Model Railway Society
Nominated charity: Macmillan Cancer Support
Milton Keynes Model Railway Club was established in 1969 and has a rich heritage in the local area, having been going for over 50 years! We are based in Bletchley and we get together to build, run and enjoy model railways.
We have layouts in a variety of gauges and our members have a variety of skills in building and operating model railways. If you have an interest in model railways, why not come along for a cup of tea and a chat on a club night to see what we do, new members are always welcome! See our website, mkmrs.org.uk for more details.
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone who has cancer in the UK.
We wanted to do something different to raise awareness of our organisation, so we have produced a train tree!
The tree has wide range of models, all made from card. We have worked as a team, with members getting involved putting the models together, either at our club room or at home.
We hope you enjoy our tree!
Get involved with the festival and support some great local causes, simply by telling us your favourite three trees! The three with the most votes overall - once voting closes on December 18th - will receive a share of our Christmas Tree Festival prize fund.
If Milton Keynes Model Railway Club is one of your favourites, click here and vote tree 9.
